EASTGATE, OH (FOX19) - A Joseph-Beth Booksellers pop-up shop has opened inside the Eastgate Jungle Jim's.

“We’re pleased to partner with Jungle Jim’s to benefit local schools,” said David Rippe, Joseph-Beth Vice President of Marketing. “Both organizations are an important part of greater Cincinnati, we’re both high-quality retailers dedicated to customer service, and most importantly, we both strongly believe in giving back to the community.”

The Joseph-Beth Booksellers Express inside Jungle Jim’s Eastgate offers hundreds of great adult and kids book titles, thousands of gift items, toys, games, bargain books and more.

(FOX19) - Every Busken Bakery, Remke-Biggs, and Cincinnati/Dayton United Dairy Farmers will be giving away one free Lite Hearted Donu on Valentine's Day  to every customer while supplies last.

The Lite-Hearted Donu is a heart-shaped glazed donut targeted to calorie-counting consumers. Each donut contains just 140 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, and zero trans fat and zero saturated fat.

“This year we're giving our hearts to the Queen City,” commented Busken Bakery president, Dan Busken. “As it turns out, our hearts are sweet, low calorie, and romantically guilt-free.” 

This will be the largest giveaway in the company’s history, as the combined forces of over 150 stores hands out thousands of free donuts to customers around the city.

The Lite-Hearted Donut™ will be available at all 10 Busken Bakery locations, 135 United Dairy Farmers, and 13 Remke-Bigg’s.

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Thinking of buying an eReader or tablet for the book lover on your holiday shopping list? Now's a great time to buy! Prices are dropping and lots of new devices have hit the market. 

But when it comes to picking the right device, the choices can be overwhelming. That’s why the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is holding a series of eReader “Petting Zoo” programs at select branches.

Stop by and try out an iPad, Nook Tablet and Kindle Fire and learn more about the Library’s downloadable books and music. Staff members will be available to answer your questions.

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Holiday & Nearly New sale is the biggest of the year and features books in all genres—most suitable for gifts. The sale is being held November 8 - 10 at the Anderson Township library branch.

The collectibles include military; civil war, presidential history; also a nice collection of Scottish books and books on Shakespeare. Readers looking for popular fiction will find James Patterson, Jodi Picoult, Lee Child, Dean Koontz and many, many others. A separate room for the children's section will include board books, classics, holiday-themed books, books with CDs and many for the preschool set as well as teens. There will also be DVDs, music CDs, puzzles and games.

Cash and checks are accepted but not credit cards. The Anderson Township library is located at 7450 State Road.

SALE HOURS

  • Thursday, Nov. 8, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 9, 10 a.m. ­to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
