MOUNT WASHINGTON, OH (FOX19) - Kevin Prendergast, LPCC-S, director of the Pastoral Counseling Department at The Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary’s Seminary of the West, has been recognized with the 2013 Mary Corre Foster Community Counselor Award by the Greater Cincinnati Counseling Association(GCCA). The award presentation was made January 5 at the GCCA Conference at Xavier University.
The Mary Corre Foster Community Counselor Award recognizes an individual who has made significant and outstanding contributions to mental health counseling in the Greater Cincinnati area. The award is given in honor of Mrs. Mary Corre Foster, a local pioneer in counseling. Criteria for nomination include:
1. An individual who has demonstrated personal qualities providing a role model to their clients and the community.
2. A person who has made recognizable and documented contributions to the positive growth and development of counseling efforts in the Greater Cincinnati area.
3. A person who has demonstrated professional concern through active participation in the professional organizations that seek to support and improve counseling services
