ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - They’re curious, like to learn by doing, and love to play in the dirt.  Working in a garden, a child can experience the satisfaction that comes from caring for something over time, while observing the cycle of life firsthand.  To plant this seed of knowledge among preschoolers, The Goddard School located in Anderson Township planted theme garden beds as part of their Summer Camp.

“Gardening gives children a chance to learn an important life skill, one that is sometimes overlooked in standard school curriculums,” said Mark Reinhart, owner of The Goddard School located in Anderson Twp.  Gardening introduces children, at an early age, to the excitement of gardening and provides an enriching and educational hands-on opportunity."

Preschoolers and Kindergarteners planted four theme gardens, consisting of a Pizza Garden, Farmers’ Market Garden, Flower Garden and a Sensory Garden.  Students are responsible for caring
