Beech Acres Hosts Workshop For Moms & Daughters | Families
ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Beech Acres Parenting Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting parents and caregivers in raising children who thrive, is hosting a workshop just for moms and their daughters. Surviving & Thriving in the GIRL WORLD will be on Tuesday, March 20, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at its Anderson campus (6881 Beechmont Ave; 45230).
The focus of this fun and very interactive workshop, will be on raising confident, resilient and successful daughters into adulthood. Presenter (and mom) Nzingha Byrd will lead a discussion about the roles girls take in this complicated world, the importance of empathy and how it connects to understanding and celebrating differences. They will also talk about bullying and how each girl can make a positive impact.
Cost is $15 per person and pre-registration is required at www.beechacres.org/workshops. The workshop is approved for 1 CEU for Ohio Social Workers and Counselors Social Work #RSX058914 – Social work methods Counselor #RCX048903 – Methods of intervention and prevention of mental and emotional disorders.
