ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Golfers for Charity (CGC) will hit the links Friday, May 18th with a goal of raising more than $100,000 for area kids. This is the fifth annual 100-hole golf challenge for the CGC, adding to the more than $420,000 raised in the past four years to help afflicted children in the Greater Cincinnati community. The event will be held at The Vineyard golf course in Anderson Township.

Gateway to NKU Transition Center Schedules Info Session May 10

Edgewood, Ky. (May 7, 2012) – The Gateway to NKU Transition Center  will conduct a free, public information session Thursday, May 10, at 6 p.m. in Room E101 at the Student Services Center at Gateway Community and Technical College’s Edgewood Campus.

The Gateway to NKU Transition Center is a joint venture between Gateway and Northern Kentucky University. The center is designed to assure students are college ready by taking a minimum of 12 credit hours on NKU’s campus but at Gateway’s lower, affordable tuition rate. The curriculum includes six hours of college readiness courses. After students have completed at least 12 hours with a grade of C or better, they can transfer smoothly to NKU.

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Brad Paisley will bring his highly anticipated Virtual Reality World Tour to Riverbend Music Center on Sunday, May 20th. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m.

Paisley continues the Plaza fun tradition for the third year with “The Escape” – a fun-filled outdoor plaza area with games, contests, photo ops, food vendors, and performance stage.  Continuing with the tour theme there will be a “Virtual Opry” stage that incorporates a futuristic Grand Ole Opry backdrop and signature mic stands. Performing on the stage starting at 5:00pm will be Kristen Kelly, Jana Kramer and Love and Theft. All three artists will sign autographs immediately following their performances on the “Virtual Opry” stage.

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Join the fun and festivities! Party on the Plaza returns to the South Plaza at Anderson Center for its fourth season.  New for 2012 there will be five shows on Thursday and three on Friday.  The event is put on by the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Anderson Township and is designed to provide a relaxing night of entertainment for area residents of all ages.

The season opens Thursday, May 31st with one of the most talented bands in the city, BackBeat, a dynamic band that channels their inner Beatles to perform amazing renditions of the band’s classic hits along with many other great covers! The fun continues throughout the summer with many exciting acts including: The Dan Varner Band, 3 Day Rule, Bluetip and Model Behavior.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) -  Cincinnati Reds Players for the Planet Jay Bruce, Ryan Hanigan, Drew Stubbs and Mike Leake and recording artist and host Nick Lachey are  joining forces again with Rumpke Waste & Recycling and other organizations for the Third Annual Players for the Planet E-Waste Recycling and Paper Shredding  Events  this weekend.

The Players for the Planet E-Waste Recycling and Paper Shredding Events provide a convenient way for Reds fans and residents of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to recycle old electronics, or securely destroy documents. People can drop off televisions, radios, VCRs, computer monitors, personal computers, hard drives and many other electronics on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

They can also drop off documents for secure shredding on Saturday and Sunday only.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The Grammy Award winning American rock band Train will kick off their first US tour in support of the group's new studio album, California 37 (released Tuesday).  The tour kicks off on July 26 at the Time Warner Center in Charlotte NC and will make a stop in Cincinnati, OH at PNC Pavilion on Wednesday, August 8 at 7:00 p.m.  Joining Train for the Cincinnati show will be Mat Kearney and Andy Grammer.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Global superstar Kelly Clarkson and Grammy-nominated The Fray are joining forces for a 30+ city co-headlining summer tour.  The tour will start on July 21st in Ridgefield, Washington, with special guest Carolina Liar, and will make a stop in Cincinnati, OH at Riverbend Music Center on Tuesday, August 14 at 7 p.m.  Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.  Both headline acts will be touring in support of their most recent albums (Kelly Clarkson – Stronger and The Fray – Scars & Stories).  

Tickets for the Cincinnati show $95.00, $75.00 & $55.00 Reserved Pavilion, $20.00 GA Lawn and $69.00 Lawn 4-Pack will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m.  1000 lawn tickets will be made available at the special rate of $15.00 for the first day on sale only (April 20) or until supplies run out.
