CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Cincinnati Reds Players for the Planet Jay Bruce, Ryan Hanigan, Drew Stubbs and Mike Leake and recording artist and host Nick Lachey are joining forces again with Rumpke Waste & Recycling and other organizations for the Third Annual Players for the Planet E-Waste Recycling and Paper Shredding Events this weekend.
The Players for the Planet E-Waste Recycling and Paper Shredding Events provide a convenient way for Reds fans and residents of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to recycle old electronics, or securely destroy documents. People can drop off televisions, radios, VCRs, computer monitors, personal computers, hard drives and many other electronics on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
They can also drop off documents for secure shredding on Saturday and Sunday only.
The events will occur at three Kroger-PNC Bank locations. The first 200 cars at each event will receive two View Level tickets to a future Cincinnati Reds game at Great American Ball Park, while supplies last.
Players for the Planet is suggesting a donation of $10 per car to offset recycling costs. Residents can visit www.playersfortheplanet.org for a complete list of acceptable items.
