ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Anderson Area Chamber is proud to honor the outstanding citizen, businesses, students, educators and volunteers of the year at this year's Citizen of the Year Award Banquet.  The event offers the Chamber an opportunity to provide much deserved recognition to those individuals and businesses that make the Anderson area a great place to live and work.  This year's event is highlighted by honoring Marty Brennaman as the 2013 Citizen of the Year for his outstanding achievement with the Cincinnati Reds and in the community.

Computer and TV recycling opens Saturday at Cohen Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Residents of Hamilton County are invited to use a free program for recycling their old computers and televisions.

The drop-off location at Cohen Cincinnati opens from 8am - noon beginning on Saturday, May 4.

The Computer and TV Drop-Off Program remains open each Saturday until October 26. The program will be closed for holidays on May 25 and August 31.

Acceptable Items Include: CPUs, hard drives, personal copiers, docking stations, monitors, scanners, printers, cellular telephones, televisions, hard drives, tape and disk drives, VCR and DVD players, VHS tapes, circuit boards, cables, main frames, servers, terminals, fax machines, PDAs, back up batteries, chips, keyboards, mice, modems, computer speakers, CD Rom drives and laptops.

Schultz has a dream job: traveling the globe and writing about it. She is the author of the international No. 1 bestsellers, 1,000 Places to See Before You Die and 1,000 Places to See in the United States and Canada Before You Die. With these works, she has reinvented the idea of travel book as both wish list and practical guide. CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - From Loveland to Northern Kentucky and from Delhi to Milford, the community is invited to walk Greater Cincinnati labyrinths from 1-2 p.m. in celebration of World Labyrinth Day, on Saturday, May 4.

No reservations are necessary and walking the labyrinths is free.

A labyrinth is  a unicursal (single) path on the ground, usually circular in shape, which is used as a walking meditation, for self-reflection, and as a way to reduce stress.

World Labyrinth Day is an annual global event celebrated each year on the first Saturday in May

Taft Museum of Art displays students’ artwork at Main Library

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Taft Museum of Art’s annual Artists Reaching Classrooms (ARC) exhibition is on display through May 16 in the atrium of the Main Library. The exhibit showcases art, including painting, photography, digital design and ceramics, created by students from 12 area high schools.

Each work is accompanied by an artist’s statement, providing an explanation of the student’s process and intent. ARC is a program offered by the Taft Museum of Art that immerses high school art students in Cincinnati’s visual arts community and exposes them to art careers and professionals. Scholarships are being awarded Wednesday, May 1, during a 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. reception at the Main Library.
