EVENDALE, OH (FOX19) - First Student, Inc., the nation’s leader in student transportation, is holding a job fair Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3, where the company will be taking applications from qualified applicants for part-time school bus driver positions and full-time maintenance positions for its Arlington Heights, Spring Grove and Beechmont locations.

First Student representatives will be on hand to answer questions and conduct interviews on both days with qualified applicants. Both of the events will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Teamster’s Local 100 building, 2100 Oak Road, Evendale, Ohio.

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Parents can now text "ccurgent" to 437411 to get current estimated wait times at Cincinnati Children's Urgent Care Centers.This new service was started to better serve Cincinnati Children's patients and families. Urgent Care services are available at the Cincinnati Children's Anderson, Fairfield and Mason locations.

Treatment at the different facilities include:
-Asthma (mild to moderate wheezing)
-Broken Bones, sprains and simple fractures

-Cuts, stitches and simple burns

-Ear aches and sore throats

-Fever in infants and children over 8 weeks of age

-General wound care

-Rashes

-Vomiting and diarrhea

Wesley Community Services, AARP, Walgreens, NASCAR and Jeff Gordon hold peanut butter drive

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A group of local and national group is conducting a two-pronged "Drive to End Hunger" among seniors this weekend. 

Part of the drive is that they are asking people to bring donations of peanut butter to four specific Walgreen's stores this weekend, in Delhi, West Price Hill, Norwood, and Anderson Township.  They are looking for both regular and low-sodium peanut butter. 

For those who can't make it to those stores, or who want to help more, they are asking for $24 donations, in honor of NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon's #24 "Drive to End Hunger" Chevrolet. 

The sponsors say nearly 9 million older Americans face the risk of hunger each day, and for the last 20 years Wesley Community Services has helped older adults in Cincinnati remain at home with Meals-On-Wheels, Specialized Transportation, and Home Care and Personal Care Services.

Beech Acres Receives Grant To Provide Critical Support For Families In Crisis

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Jacob G. Schmidlapp Trusts, Fifth Third Bank, Trustee, has just awarded Beech Acres Parenting Center a $25,000 grant toward its newly created Family Emergency Support Fund. The Fund enables Beech Acres to offer urgent financial support for basic material needs and customized, mental and behavioral health services for vulnerable families who are in crisis due to economic hardships.

This grant comes at a critically important time for Greater Cincinnati families as the economy causes an increasing number of parents to be unemployed or underemployed add huge additional stress factors to families. Currently 75% of Beech Acres clients are seeking supportive services and do not have the means to pay even a nominal fee for assistance they desperately need. Over 20% have three or more children.

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to identify a person wanted for a theft that occurred Feb. 12. 

The suspect entered the property of Evans Landscaping located at 4229 Roundbottom Road. in Anderson Township and removed several power tools.

According to the police report, the suspect broke off locks on several vehicles and removed wrenches and Dewalt drill sets.
